Which commercial roofing system do you install?
American Roofing Technologies replaces and repairs low slope commercial roofs in Cincinnati and across the tri-state area. We install TPO and EPDM mainly, plus modified bitumen. We're a GenFlex certified commercial roofing contractor, and our tradesmen put in long hours installing low slope roofing in the field.

TPO, or thermoplastic polyolefin, is a single ply membrane that comes in several colors. Here's why it's our first choice:
Energy efficient. It carries strong energy efficiency ratings.
Not oil based. It's made of polymers and rubbers, mostly polypropylene and ethylene rubber, infused into a reinforced fabric.
Heat-welded seams. The welded seams make a solid bond and use less glue and tape than a traditional EPDM roof.
Low maintenance. It's durable and eco-friendly.
Reflective. A white TPO roof reflects heat, which keeps the building cooler in summer and holds heat in winter.
Mechanically attached or fully adhered?
TPO goes on either way, and both work well. Mechanically attached systems cost less. Fully adhered systems are stronger, but they need adhesives, and adhesives add cost. If your roof sees high wind uplift, fully adhered is the better call.
What goes into a commercial roof replacement?
It starts with a plan. Before we quote, we look at the structure of the building.
Insulation. Many buildings have no insulation in the ceiling, so the roof has to carry it. A common build is two layers of 2.2-inch polyiso. Polyiso goes on about 70 percent of commercial roofing systems, it's easy to get, and it cuts energy use and helps the roof last longer.
Tapered insulation. It directs water to the drains. On some buildings the framing does that job, but on most it doesn't.
Saddles. Where water needs steering toward a drain, we build saddles. Installing tapered polyiso around saddles is tricky work, and it takes a crew that has done it before.

Our crews install GenFlex roofing products across Cincinnati and the tri-state area. That covers Warren, Clermont, Hamilton, Brown and Montgomery counties in Ohio, plus parts of northern Kentucky and southeastern Indiana.
Our sales reps and tradesmen go to seminars to keep up with current installation methods. On every job we set up site safety, and our crews take safety training classes.
