We Install EPDM and TPO Products mainly but we do offer other roofing products such as Modified Bitumen Roofing. TPO Has been our main focus because of its energy efficiency ratings and not being an oil based product. This flat roof system can be mechanically attached or fully adhered. Heat welded materials create a solid bond and less use of glues and tapes that are offered with your traditional EPDM roof.
Commercial roofing replacement requires planning. Meeting R-value can sometimes be a necessity as buildings and homes may not be insulated in the ceiling so will require it in the roofing end of the project. Most places require R-30 but R-25 is the state minimum for Cincinnati Ohio. Installing 2 layers of 2.2 polyisocyanurate equals R-25.2. This is what is required for Cincinnati Ohio Roofs. Polyisocyanurate is used on approximately 70% of all commercial roofing systems and is one of the most readily available products in the roofing industry. It is a cost effective option to reduce building energy and help add longevity to the lifespan of the Roof system. It is always important to check as different states vary depending on the climate.
During the roof replacement process the roofing contractor needs to assess the structure of the building. Some buildings require tapered insulation to direct water to drain systems. Sometimes this can be in the framing of the building but usually not. So it is up to your local roofing contractor to be knowledgeable. Installing Tapered Polyisocyanurate can be tricky when the installation of saddles are required. Saddles may be required to divert water to drain systems.  
Choosing an application method is important as well. Fully adhered and mechanically attached can be both great options for your roof replacement. Cost plays an important roll in making this decision. Fully adhered roofing systems are much stronger but require adhesives which can be costly. Having wind uplift can make you want to steer towards going with a fully adhered roof. Choosing your roofing product should be a no brainer as TPO or Thermoplastic Polyolefin,  a single ply membrane that comes in different colors. This material is comprised of polymers and rubbers, mostly polypropylene and ethylene rubber. It is made infused into a reinforced fabric. tpo roofing is energy efficient and eco-friendly. This highly durable product requires little maintenance. Being a white roof, TPO has great reflectivity ratings keeping your home cooler in the summer months and capturing heat in the winter.
